How a mobile car lockout visit works
When you call, we'll ask for your vehicle's year, make, and model, along with your location, so the technician arrives prepared for your specific vehicle's lock mechanism. Most vehicles can be opened using non-destructive entry tools designed for the specific gap and latch geometry of that make and model — the old-fashioned coat-hanger method is a good way to damage a modern car and rarely works on today's vehicles anyway.
Once you're back in, if the lockout happened because of a lost or malfunctioning key or fob rather than a door that simply locked behind you, we can typically also handle key cutting or fob programming during the same visit — see our car key replacement service for details.
Common car lockout situations we handle
Keys locked in the car with the engine running or the AC on, a child or pet locked inside (always our top priority — call immediately and let us know), a broken or bent key that won't turn, a fob with a dead battery and no working mechanical backup key, and vehicles locked in driveways, parking lots, boat ramps, or roadside after a breakdown are all situations we handle regularly across Marble Falls, Horseshoe Bay, and the surrounding Highland Lakes towns.
